Efficiency

The new Citroën C4 is available with two petrol engines, the VTi 120 and THP 155. They both benefit from variable valve lift and timing, which guarantees outstanding efficiency and allows for immediate response even on lower gear ratios. Emissions and fuel consumptions are among the best in the segment, with 143g/km for the VTi 120 and 145g/km for the THP 155 EGS.

The Citroën C4 is now available with an e-HDi 110 engine, with emissions as low as 109 g/km.

No effort and industrial investment has been spared to optimise weight and quality.
The innovative roof’s laser welding has allowed a saving of 2kg compared to traditional assembly techniques; a thinner rear hatch window cuts weight by 1kg. All shock-absorbing interfaces have been optimised as has the soundproofing.
Even the steering wheel and alloy wheels have been optimised to save a total of 4.5kg versus the previous generation C4. This demanding engineering philosophy allows New Citroën C4 to be slightly roomier than the previous generation C4 yet lighter and better equipped.
