Why is the fuel consumption of my vehicle not the same as in the manufacturer’s manual?
The fuel consumption figures given by Citroën correspond to homologated values based on European regulations applicable to all manufacturers and all passenger cars sold in Europe. These values are obtained under strict test conditions (temperature, weight, characteristics of roller test bench etc.) and based on a smooth road profile.
Many factors impact fuel consumption, including: real traffic conditions, the weather, vehicle load, driving style, tyre pressure, the presence of a roof rack (even if empty), extensive use of the air conditioning and/or heating and the general condition of the vehicle. All of these factors can all naturally lead to results that differ from homologated values.
