The Conservatoire has the largest international collection of Citroën vehicles: more than 400 items illustrating an industrial and commercial adventure spanning almost a century. Under the metal beams of the main building, the Conservatoire’s extraordinary fleet is neatly classified by decade (from 1919 to the 2000s) then by themed section: sport, adventure, commercial vehicles, curiosities, concept cars and prototypes. Most of them are in perfect order.
The second part of the treasure trove housed by the Conservatoire is in the archives room. Located next to the collection of vehicles, the archives take up almost one and a half kilometres of shelf space! An exceptional source of information, including: vehicle registers, sketches and plans from Citroën’s design offices, newsletters and magazines, press kits, technical documents and style drawings
Using its production registers and vehicle file, the archives department of the Citroën Conservatoire can help you identify any model produced in France between 1919 and 1990 from its production number. You can also purchase documentation files and legend presentation sets, both of which will delight enthusiasts.
